What size should I order?
Unisex, XS to 4XL. The size chart has the garment measurements. Lay a sun hoodie you already like flat, measure it armpit to armpit, and match the chest column. Between sizes, order up. Still not sure? Email your height, weight and usual size to hello@jewfishco.com before you buy.
How long does it take?
7 to 10 business days door to door. Everything is made when you order it. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico can add a week. Tracking is emailed the day it ships.
What does shipping cost?
$5.99 flat in the US. Free at $99, which is two hoodies, or a hoodie and a hat. United States only for now.
Can I return it or exchange it for another size?
No. Every piece is made to order, so there are no returns or exchanges for size. If it arrives defective or misprinted, or the parcel is lost, email hello@jewfishco.com within 30 days with a photo and we reprint it or refund it. The full version is in the refund policy.
Why is the inside of the hood white on the coloured hoodies?
The colour is sublimated into the outside of the fabric, the same way the fish is. The hood lining is not printed, so on Navy, Sand, Seafoam and Light Grey the inside of the hood is white. You can see it in the photos. On the White hoodie you will never notice.
How do I wash it?
Cold wash. No bleach. Tumble low. Do not iron the print.
Do hoodies and hats ship together?
No. Hats ship separately from hoodies, so a hoodie and a hat arrive as two parcels, sometimes a few days apart. One order, one shipping charge.
Can I send one as a gift? Do you have gift cards?
Put their address in as the shipping address and it goes straight to them. If you do not know their size, a gift card is delivered by email and they pick the fish, the colour and the size. Made to order still means no size exchanges, so when in doubt, the card.
Where is it made?
In the USA. The sun hoodies are made to order in Miami, Florida. The company is one person in Troy, Alabama.
What does UPF 50+ mean?
UPF is the sun rating for fabric, the way SPF is for sunscreen. UPF 50 means the fabric lets through about one fiftieth of the sun's UV. 50+ is the highest rating there is.
Is it really a Goliath grouper? Why "Jew fish"?
Yes. The Goliath grouper was officially called the jewfish until 2001, and most Florida anglers never switched. Every fish in the line wears a kippah and a Star of David chain, with "Jew fish" in script. The fish really was called that. Now he looks the part.
